Ring Type Joint Flange – Product Details

Ring Type Joint (RTJ) flanges use a precision-machined metal ring gasket seated in a machined groove on the flange face, providing a metal-to-metal seal for very high-pressure and high-temperature service where spiral-wound or flat-face gaskets are inadequate.

Applicable Standards: ASME B16.5 (RTJ), ASME B16.20 (ring gaskets), API 6A

Manufacturing Process: Forged; groove machined to exact R, RX or BX ring dimensions; face finish Ra 1.6 µm or better.

Heat Treatment: Normally supplied as-rolled. Normalise 870–940 °C for improved toughness.
